About PLV

Pretty Little Vlogger was a long time coming.
I started making Youtube videos when I was sophomore in high school for fun with my friends. There was no theme, no specific audience I wanted to reach; it was all about just having a good time being goofy and putting it on the internet. It wasn't until my freshman year in college that I decided I really wanted to buckle down and try being a regular Youtuber with a real channel. I started out trying to be the next DIY guru of Youtube, but that didn't lead anywhere and I wasn't really equipped with the right resources to make decent videos.
Next, I thought I'd try my hand at the thrifting/shopping/hauling type channel, and although it was fun, I didn't get the views or subscribers I wanted so badly. I just wasn't unique enough. I didn't know how to make myself stand out so people would take notice and give my channel a shot. But what I did know is that I LOVED making videos. I just hadn't found my niche yet and I decided I was going to try everything until I found it.
During the summer of 2012, I started making videos on a daily basis on everything: make up, hauls, vlogs, unboxings, DIYs, and then... videos talking about ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars. My PLL recap and review video views were sky high compared to everything else on my channel. I had about 100 subscribers when I started making the PLL videos, and with each new episode that aired, I gained more. I started checking my inbox on a regular basis to respond to comments on my videos, discussing PLL with other girls on the internet; sharing theories and ideas about upcoming episodes and gossiping about the actors of the show. It was amazing to me how people were actually starting to subscribe to me  and wanted to know what I thought about the show.
It was after the finale of the first part of season 3 that I realized my channel was a hit. I posted a recap/review of the finale and I gained 150 subscribers in roughly 6 hours. My video discussing Aria as the bad guy "A" hit 20,000 views. People started following me on twitter. I couldn't believe it. I had finally found my niche.
Since then my channel continues to grow everyday, recently surpassing 1,000 subscribers. I co-host a PLL podcast alongside another fanatic of the show. I was even approached and offered a partnership deal with a community of entertainment and pop culture channels on Youtube, but I declined.
But, I am not here to brag about my success. Some days, I don't even call it success. I know my channel is nothing compared to the other successful channels of Youtube, but I'm getting there. And that's all that matters to me. I just wanted to share with you how my dream came true.
I'm not a beauty guru, or a fashion icon. I'm not a comedian. I'm not an actor.
I am a Pretty Little Liars guru/expert/fan/ and Youtuber.
